Versatile midfielder Archie Gray joined Tottenham Hotspur from Leeds United in July 2024.
Born in Durham, Archie joined Leeds United at the Under-9 level and progressed through their academy system. He made his first-team debut at just 15 years old, being included in the matchday squad during the 2021 Premier League season.
After helping Leeds’ Under-21s secure promotion at the end of the 2022/23 season, Archie made his senior competitive debut on the opening day of the 2023/24 EFL Championship campaign. He excelled throughout the season, playing primarily in central midfield and at right-back, and made a total of 52 appearances in all competitions as Leeds reached the play-off final at Wembley. His outstanding performances earned him the Championship Young Player of the Season award.
At only 18 years old, Archie is part of the Gray footballing dynasty at Leeds, with his father Andy, grandfather Frank, and great-uncle Eddie all having played for the club. On the international stage, he has represented England at various youth levels, where he has played alongside several of our own academy talents.
Earlier this year, Archie made his debut for the Young Lions’ Under-21 team during European Championship qualifying matches against Azerbaijan and Luxembourg, scoring on his debut against Azerbaijan.
