Midfielder Lucas Bergvall joined Tottenham Hotspur from Swedish Allsvenskan side Djurgården in July 2024, with the transfer agreement reached in February 2024.
Despite his young age, Lucas has already made significant strides in his career. He debuted for IF Brommapojkarna (BP) in the Superettan, Sweden’s second tier, at just 16 years old, contributing to the team’s promotion to the Allsvenskan in 2022 with 11 appearances.
His impressive performances attracted interest from clubs across Europe, but Lucas chose to remain in Stockholm, joining his brother, Theo, at Djurgården. During the 2023 season, he further developed his skills, making 25 appearances in 30 matches as Djurgården finished fourth in the Allsvenskan.
On the international stage, Lucas is a senior Sweden international, having made his debut in January against Estonia. He has also represented Sweden at the Under-21, Under-19, and Under-17 levels, showcasing his potential and talent on the international front.
