In the semifinals of the 2024 League of Legends World Championship (S14), the Chinese LPL witnessed an intense match tonight, October 26, between two domestic teams: the all-Chinese first-seed BLG and the S13 runner-up WBG. Ultimately, BLG’s top lane star Bin secured Jax in all three games, while mid-laner knight delivered an outstanding performance. Dominating every lane, BLG swept WBG with a 3-0 victory, advancing easily to the S14 Grand Finals. This marks the first time in 4045 days that an all-Chinese LPL roster (with no Korean players) has reached the Worlds Final, the last occurrence being in 2013’s S3 with Uzi-led Royal Club. Now, BLG is just one step away from claiming the coveted Summoner’s Cup.

Game 1 Highlights
In Game 1, BLG mirrored Korea’s Gen.G by picking Smite in mid and Jax in top, aiming for a late-game composition. WBG fielded the Korean jungler Tarzan, who picked his signature AP jungler, Brand. At 23 minutes, in a fight over the third dragon, WBG achieved a 4-for-1 trade and secured Baron. However, two minutes later, WBG’s Xiaohu overextended mid and was caught, stalling their Baron-enhanced push.
Post-30 minutes, BLG’s composition hit its power spike, and WBG started making critical errors. At 31 minutes, BLG took Baron, and another fierce fight for the fifth dragon ensued at 34 minutes. While BLG claimed Soul Point, their scattered formation led to WBG taking two kills.
In a fight for the third Baron at 38 minutes, WBG managed to secure the buff, but BLG’s positioning trapped them, taking down both key carries. With a numbers advantage, BLG broke into WBG’s base at 39 minutes, winning the first game.
Game 2 Highlights
In Game 2, both teams adjusted their picks and bans. WBG’s Tarzan went for his signature Elise, moving Maokai to the top lane, while BLG picked Jax again, alongside Syndra in mid and Ziggs in the bottom lane.
The game was back-and-forth early on, but at the 30-minute dragon fight, BLG overpowered WBG in a decisive team fight. Despite AD carry Light’s best efforts, WBG couldn’t turn the game around, and BLG’s mid-laner Knight finished with a flawless 7/0/8 Syndra score, pushing down WBG’s base at 31 minutes.
Game 3 Highlights
In Game 3, BLG secured the Jax and Skarner combo again from the red side. WBG picked Kai’Sa after Aphelios, and BLG answered with Kai’Sa.
Early on, both teams opted for lane swaps. At 6 minutes, BLG forced a dive in the bot lane, resulting in a one-for-one trade. At 8:30, BLG extended the lead with another aggressive push on the top side, securing another kill.
At 17 minutes, WBG’s Rumble ultimate caught BLG off guard in the dragon pit, with Ezreal landing a four-man ultimate, closing the early gold gap. However, a fight over the third dragon at 22 minutes saw WBG suffer a brutal 0-for-4 loss, enabling BLG to secure their first Baron, and WBG’s 7,000-gold deficit proved insurmountable. BLG dominated the following team fights, securing a clean 3-0 series victory.
